Lover of Jesus ~ family ~ baking

Baking and cooking for a family of seven has been a joy and a privilege for many years. It is now a passion and hobby. Besides being in the kitchen, you can find JJ walking with friends, hand feeding her chickens, watching movies with the family, or feeding a crowd of high school teenagers on Tuesdays. She is passionate about Jesus and His Word, and sharing the hope of Christ through every cookie crumble and bite she serves up.

Hannah is living her best life as wife to Jesse Ford and momma to their two beautiful children.

They currently reside in Rio Vista, TX.

Growing up, Hannah witnessed her family consistently bring to life Colossians 3:23.

This taught her how to strive for a spirit of excellence in all things. Her competitive nature has driven her to apply this in sports, school, business, and now marriage and motherhood. Though she fails at times, Jesus' grace upholds her and keeps her joy burning! Hannah loves to create. Crocheting, painting, building, drawing, sewing - she enjoys it all. However, creating for someone is her favorite. She is thankful (and frankly quite giddy) when she gets to make cookies. Hannah has found so much joy when creating for others, as unto the Lord.

Hannah's Story

Meeting Mustard Seed Designs

My first introduction to Mustard Seed Designs was 13 years ago when my first niece was born. The compassionate OB/Gyn walked in with a beautiful burp rag, handmade by his wife, JJ Ford.

You could see the love in every stitch!

Shortly after, she became my art teacher. I got a front row seat to her passion for art. The light of Mustard Seed Designs was spread throughout the classroom.

and....maybe a little too much love was spread around. Yes - I wasn't fully paying attention in class and yes - it was because I was making googly eyes at the cute boy across from me (JJ's son Jesse).

After Jesse and I started dating, I was invited to Valentine's Day dinner at their home. There, I saw the heart behind Mustard Seed Designs. Handmade hearts, cards and decor beautifully dressed their home. The delicious meal was baked with so much love, it stayed with us after. I saw how each detail made everyone feel special and proud to be family.

A few years later, I married my high school sweetheart and JJ became my mother in law. I got to participate in the Christmas cookie decorating party, and it completely blew my mind. Hundreds of cookies were perfectly baked, and bags of icing already made. Here, I witnessed the joy of Mustard Seed Designs - friends and family gathered around laughing and enjoying one another.

Months ago, I got to help with one of JJ's orders. It was then, I got BIT by the cookie bug.

Now, she is my partner in this amazing business. I still can't believe that this incredibly talented woman has welcomed me to join her on this journey.

Nevertheless, I am so excited!!

I hope to share a fraction of the love, light, heart and joy of Mustard Seed Designs that JJ has throughout the years.
